I urge the Virginia Board of Health to repeal and rewrite the current regulations for abortion providers. As written, current standards do NOT protect the health of women. In fact, current regulations seek to close the doors of facilities that provide necessary healthcare to low income folks throughout the state. If these regulations are about the health of patients, there would be less concern about the fabric used on window coverings, the width of hallways, and the number of parking spaces. Please recognize that these regulations are political in nature and fail the citizens of our state. Politicians make terrible doctors- repeal and rewrite the current regulations for abortion providers.
