Uphold Standards, Protect Women

Board of Health,

It is abhorrent beyond any and all belief that the governor of Virginia would even consider allowing abortion clinics to not be inspected and meet with reasonable standards of cleanliness and safety, especially after the horrors of the Herman Gosnell abortion clinic made national news. Women were killed and maimed for life in a filthy and disgusting clinic.Abortion is not a small procedure. Women are killed every year undergoing this procedure. Many so-called "doctors"have shown a callous disregard for the women who enter the clinics to end the lives of their babies. It is horrible enough that our government allows the killing of the unborn as an answer to a problem, but to add insult to injury, to call this murder of the unborn "womens health care" and then to not even regulate it as all health care providers should be, is an insult to our intelligence.Do not allow this to happen. Protect women by insisting upon minimal standards of cleanliness, license, and protection for the women who enter these clinics. Edward A. Hara
