Uphold Standards, Protect Women

Board of Health,

It only makes sense that an abortion clinic should be held to the safety standards of a hospital. Abortion is a violent and inherently unsafe procedure, with so many variables and unaccounted-for risks. When an abortion is done in an environment that is not prepared for the disasters that can easily occur, the clinic is putting its patients at a terrible and unnecessary risk. Hospital standards of safety sometimes appear unnecessary, compared to the apparent safety of a procedure. Thankfully, that does not matter. If a loved one decided to have an abortion, that apparent safety is not a gamble I would want to take against her life. Thomas
