Uphold Standards, Protect Women

Board of Health,

Any business, clinic, or person who performs invasive procedures on a human being, particularly a procedure involving the removal of objects, organs, and especially another human life from a human body should be as well regulated and inspected as any other medical center, hospital, or clinic. If a woman and her doctor believe an abortion is the best option for her circumstance, the woman should be confident the procedure will be performed in a modern, sanitary clinic, by highly certified personnel, that the child she is having removed will not suffer, and that his/her remains will be treated with dignity. The Virginia State Board of Health should work to ensure Virginians are provided with the highest quality care in every aspect of their health care; protecting people from unclean, and hazardous medical service providers should be their primary objective.
