Please act swiftly to revers the burdensome, politically-motivated TRAP regulations.  Laws should be applied evenly across the board, not tied to the misogyistic  personal  beliefs of a  vocal minority.  TRAP was never about women's health and safety.  If that was the case, the same standards would apply to all outpatient clinics, such as those that offer plastic surgery.  TRAP regulations are all about denying women access to safe, legal abortion services.   TRAP was never about "saving babies" either despite what many commenters have been led to believe.  Closing clinics does not stop abortions;  women of means simply travel out of state while poor women resort to unsafe methods... Exactly the opposite of TRAP's purported goal.  Please do not be swayed by arguments that TRAP was ever about anything but shaming, punishing, and controlling women seeking abortion services.  If you genuinely want to keep women safe and reduce the number of abortions in the state of Virginia--both  worthy goals--please reverse TRAP and devote your time and energy to promoting greater access to birth control, education, and employment opportunities.
