I live in a Springfield, VA, retirement community and the residents are very interested in their government and our precinct has the highest turnout of any precinct in Virginia.  The fact that their driver's licenses have expired reflects their good judgement in deciding that the public safety is better served by their staying off the roads although such a decision is always a sacrifice of their mobility.  This good judgement should not be penalized by costing them their eligibility to vote -- without licenses they are unable to get out to obtain new photo id's.s
