I urge you to support permanent regulations to make sure that pregnant women are not restrained while being incarcerated. These regulations should be permanent and maintained by facilities throughout Virginia.  When a pregnant woman is restrained, injury is possible to both the mother and to the child.  

Thank you for making these proposals to limit the use of restraints and please take every step to  finalize these regulations.
