We ask that you support regulations to outlaw the use of restraints for women in prison who are pregnant and before and immediately after giving birth. This practice is at minimum cruel and unusual, and it could cause great harm to mothers and babies. Let's respect these mothers and their right to give birth, no matter what their offense was. This is only common decency. Thank you for your consideration.
