TRAP is NOT Representative

Have you forgotten who our elected officials represent?  The women of Virginia are beginning to realize that we are now living a state which ignores the will of the people and federal law and  chooses instead to pass laws which look more like oppression in a foreign country than freedom.  I beg you to listen!  The Virginia Department of Health is supposed to protect women's health, not make it impossible to find a place to go for even the most mundane, but necessary, health needs.  Is it not enough that your Commissioner of Health, Dr. Remley, has resigned in protest at what you're doing?  Is it not enough that we have lost a clinic over your arbitrary and unnecessary TRAP rules?  Do you understand that women are not second class citizens and refuse to be treated as if we live in a third-world country?

The regulations which you want to enact will NOT do anything to improve women's health and you're NOT fooling anyone by saying this is your purpose.  Regardless of your personal beliefs, we women are already citizens of America, with rights of conscience of our own which may differ from yours, and we should not be pitted against the unborn, discretionary guests in our bodies who have no rights under our Constitution until they are  born, naturalized or adopted.  If making it impossible to obtain an abortion in Virginia or gratnting "personhood" to the unborn is your goal, be careful what you wish for!  The legal ramifications of this action would make every woman vulnerable to criminal prosecution if they ever had a miscarriage because they could then be blamed and charged as if they'd done something wrong.

This is your chance to finally listen to what women need in the way of health care, not forge ahead with some agenda of your own which disables a system which has been working admirably.  You represent all of us!
