As a father, I wish to voice my opposition to the implementation of TRAP regulations on abortion providers. These regulations have nothing to do with ensuring medical safety, otherwise they would be being imposed on all kinds of other outpatient medical facilities: they have been designed specifically to shut down clinics that provide abortion services, thus interfering with women's ability to safely exercise their constitutional rights. They will inevitably drive poor and desperate women into the hands of unsafe back-alley abortionists. I want my daughters to grow up safe in the knowledge that they, together with their chosen doctors, will be the ones making decisions about their healthcare, and not politicians driven by ideology and/or religion wanting to impose their version of morality on other people.
