Opposing DMAS changes

It’s ridiculous the amount of extra time and energy DMAS has placed in making changes to the services for disabled.

First the EVV requirement for live in caregivers is ridiculous. Live in care givers already perform way more hours than they are allocated. Making them clock in and out AND then threaten to cut their services if they make a mistake is unconscionable.  I think DMAS is just making it difficult so that caregivers will stop clocking in and out.  Who wins… the State because they don’t have to pay.

Second, getting rid of service facilitators just removes consumer choice.  Putting brokers in their place, is just a way for the State to control the hours and outcome for our disabled citizens.  Service facilitators help families with choices and help them navigate the system.

I can’t believe the changes that have been made  Disabled people continue to have service cuts and reductions .  Practically no one gets respite anymore.  Too many terrible changes to the detriment of the most vulnerable.

Shame on those who implemented this
