Service facilitators are a vital part of this caregiving process. They are the support & help that you need to navigate the system which is already challenging to navigate. There should be MORE support for caregivers than LESS support which in turn is saving Medicaid money so we should be getting extra support. We are trying to keep our loved ones at home versus in a nursing home. I am not for sure what a "broker" system would look like or even what it means but this caregiving journey is hard enough (physically, mentally, financially & emotionally that help doesn't need to decrease, it needs to increase. Also, while we are on the subject the money that is paid to the caregivers through PPL or any other Medicaid intermediary should increase more than $13.88/hr. It is hard to find caregivers that will accept that amount of money & be able to afford to live in this day & time. Our loved ones deserve much better than what they are getting when they get older & the stress that is causes on the loved ones that are caring for them is simply awful, but the alternative is a Nursing home which is not a good option. Thank you
