Do not take away choice! Service facilitation must not end.

DMAS this is the wrong move! Person centered care will not be achieved with a broker model administered by CDCN and PPL. They do not effectively serve the EORs and consumers. They consistently make serious fiscal errors that affect attendants and result in attendants losing pay and quitting. They do not manage the tax issues for attendants and fail to provide meaningful and correct support. CDCN recently changed its timekeeping portal and failed to get input from EORs and consumers. It was a colossal train wreck and is still broken!

You are taking away any meaningful choice for consumers. Brokers - even the name brokers - will not meet the requirement for individualized care and support.

If you want to save money require administrative and process changes from the existing service facilitators. Reduce visits to quarterly in that model but leave the flexibility for additional support visits based on defined criteria.

How can you shut thousands of people out of their employment and shut down companies in this environment- Medicaid is being cut, people are losing care, inflation is insane and now you want to send thousands of dedicated service facilitators to unemployment while also taking away an incredibly important line of support for the most vulnerable of our population. Shame! Shame!

Be better DMAS.
