EMS/EMT/Firefighters should carry

I agree that EMS, EMT, and Fire Fighters should all be able to carry.  My husband is a firefighter and I am always more worried about the calls he runs in the Ghetto than him fighting fire.  He has been at stations where people come in and use their water to wash cars, walk in and ask to use the phone, etc. and he is totally defenseless.  It is a must.  Another amazing thing is that all of our wonderful citizens tend to think that Firemen actually already carry guns and have the same rights as cops.  They don't and should never have to do law enforcement while doing fire and emergency calls, but they should be armed.  Our liberal idiots at the Capitol should spend a day with a fire man in one of these great locations.  Heck, maybe Obama would like to go to work for the day (for a real day of work since he never hasworked) in Chicago and run calls late night with the EMS team in the worst part of town. People need to realize that if intelligent, law abiding citizens were carrying guns all the time, everywhere, that no one would feel comfortable with attacking anyone.  They know they would have no chance, and crime would be down a large amount. Imagine how scarey it was for the EMS people to go on the Tech campus to help when the shooter was still at large.  They had no way to defend themselves.  I think this is a great idea.
