If we allow them to continue implementing California’s exact legislation, it is CLEAR that things like this will increase costs! It took me over FIVE YEARS to have the Medicaid service I utilized for one year, while finishing school, to be ended (hopefully) and it wasn’t for lack of trying on my part! I would absolutely love to share the phone conversation I had with someone that called me from DMAS back in October, wanting me to “update and renew” my Medicaid benefits.. I tried requesting the transcript from this conversation, as she was sure to remind me that the call was being “recorded and monitored” when I was not buying the lies she was trying to sell me about, I must “qualify” or I wouldn’t have the service. Then why does their own “see if you qualify” thing on their website, says I don’t. She finally got so irritated and angry that she said, “FINE! Don’t renew it, we will just keep submitting your old information, like we have been for the last five years”. But, according to DMAS, this transcript doesn’t “exist”. Funny, bc I have the almost 10 min call from them, on my phone! And you expect me to believe any of this mess about this being of “assistance” to anyone, or that it won’t be filled to the brim, with fraud and corruption?! Yeah, I sure don’t buy it!
