I do not support this petition, because it has the potential of destroying the heritage and livelihood of a great portion of people from the Northern Neck of Virginia.  The opposition to the Menhaden industry are dealing from a position of misinformation and ignorance about the 167 year old history of the Menhaden industry on the Chesapeake Bay. If the opposition is honest with themselves, they would have to admit that they do not know enough about the Menhaden industry to destroy the lives of so many people.
