30.G: Having a stock of epinephrine pens in a childcare environment is a conflict of interest between state & childcare in general. As a childcare professional (not a medical professional), yes I am certified thru MAT to administer medications but through parent's/Dr. consent. I will call 911 before I administer anything to a child or adult if no written consent has been given.

270.A.5: Having a group of 100 children, ages ranging from 5-12yrs, is extremely too large for 5 staff to supervise.

270.B.5: Having 20 school aged children for 1 staff member to have by themselves is not only too many to handle at once, but there is no way ypu can respond to every child if they are all needing something or if there is an emergency, etc.

400.J:  Add "if applicable" to injury reports following future actions to prevent. Not all injuries have a clear method on prevention.

480.D.1.a: unless I have a substance on my hands (food, paint, etc) there is no need for me to wash my hands before I help a child in need of help while using the toulet. However I will ALWAYS wash my hands after helping a child with the toilet or changing a diaper.

570.D: this is just ridiculous. Why are we trying to dumb kids down. Children need to learn how to properly use products in the bathroom (proper amount of soap, toilet paper, paper towels) Children learn these things by you teaching them how to do it, not by doing it for them.

610.J: cleaning a surface that is used for eating is a given. If you don't do it in your home,  then I would hate to ever eat something that comes from your kitchen. Again common sense.

610.L: children should not have to remain seated while drinking. As long as they stand still it should be ok. Children having to remain seated while eating is much more appropriate.

420.D: Having to wash/dry dress-up clothes, dolls, stuffed animals will not make it every week. They will start to wear down, rip, etc. Having to replace those items will be even more costly. Sanitizing these items will work just as well. If childcare centers have to do this then there will be a great decrease of "Home Living" centers which is a must for early childhood learning.
