Our two children go to Our Neighborhood Child Development Center in Charlottesville, VA, and I've read through Jenn Slack's careful analysis of the newly proposed daycare regulations. I support her recommendations wholeheartedly. Re: reptiles, our daughters love Herbert the turtle so much. They have learned about how to care for another creature, as well as vocabulary words and sentences related to her. 

I fully understand that we want to prioritize safety and well-being, but I think Jenn, an experienced educator and administrator, has done a nice job analyzing which proposed regulations are productive and which could cause unnecessary issues.
