We are educators, not medical professionals. We don't have training to diagnose when a child is experiencing anaphylaxis, especially in children without known allergies. The liability risks are unclear. If something goes wrong—whether we give the EpiPen or don't give it—we could face lawsuits that end our ability to provide care.We fear accidentally harming a child through incorrect administration or giving medication when it's not actually needed.
