I strongly oppose this bill it shouldn't be a requirement for you to have a GPS collar on a dog which an individual owns. It would save the state money if they would tell the homeowners that have such an issue with dog hunting that it is recommended to fence their property in to keep the dogs out; since data proves there are a lot more pro dog hunters verses anti-dog hunters. This bill would give anti-dog hunters more of a reason to try and capture a hound that they think is a “deerhound” which should be considered impeding on a hunt. Hound hunting is a heritage that has been passed down for generations I feel this bill would stop kids from participating because most kids cannot afford to purchase this type of tracking equipment putting an end to a long lasting tradition.
