Please strike this bill down as it is detrimental to the tradition and lifestyle of hunting with hounds. Hounds man, like the vast majority of outdoorsmen, are some of the most ecologically conscious individuals in this great nation. Support your hounds man, hunters, fishermen, and trappers by removing regulation or improving existing regulation upon them, not adding more. Hunting with hounds alone is a major if not the biggest factor these days in control of nest predators such as raccoons and possums. Not to mention the control effect they have upon fawn predators as well. Encouraging and supporting houndsmen is a major way to encourage and support the long term health of many game species which in turn drive a large economic input into the great state of Virginia through out of state hunters as well as in and out of state license sales.
