Please don't ban kratom. Consider regulation

My name is Michael Fasano, I’m 38 years old, work as an Implementation Specialist, and an Illinois resident. I would like to share my experience of being a kratom consumer for 15 years. Kratom tea, in addition to chamomile, has helped me relax and promote sleep as I struggle with my chronic insomnia issues on a nightly basis. Kratom has also helped provide relief in easing my joint and muscle pain tremendously, without impairing or harming me. I’m a physically and mentally healthy young man, law abiding citizen to my community, hold a productive job, and very active in dance as well as Teakwondo. I feel blessed that it's been this helpful for so long.

Please do not ban kratom. Please consider a regulatory bill route. Numerous states have passed the Kratom Consumer Protection Act bill and others have it currently in legislation making it's way through the process. It's a strong well rounded bill that guarantees top quality standards, ensuring natural kratom is not adulterated or contaminated. It also includes age restrictions which I also strongly support. Please do not ban kratom and criminalize the many citizens who are benefiting from kratom as a natural remedy.

Thank You,

Michael
