I love the open comment concept, but be weary of the 3 outrageous claims from Nicky, Cindy, and Erica Jermain "ER Nurse", all posted within 5 minutes of one another. As an active member of the kratom community, any deaths even remotely related to this plant would've come to light for full examination (which they haven't). 

I have been a kratom user for 13 years, having only missed a handful of days in this span. Kratom has given me a quality of life that prescription pain medications couldn't provide me after a life changing car accident at age 18. Daily kratom use has lead me to a life of minimized pain and calm mental clarity. Yearly physicals and blood work have shown no negative impact on my health (my liver enzymes are impeccable), with the exception of minor dehydration. Taking the opportunity to live your best life away from even one citizen would be a gross disservice, and I implore you to hear out the kratom users in your community.

I am a resident of Michigan and I truly do not have a dog in this fight. The good that this plant provides cannot be understated, and I would be happy to have a conversation about its benefits (and its negatives!)
