I have an emergency health care provider, as well as a firefighter. In my time, I’ve seen my share of overdoses on substances, including some that were fatal. I’ve seen overdoses on heroin, painkillers, benzodiazepines, methamphetamine, and most of all, alcohol. I have never come across any emergency involving Kratom, let alone a life threatening overdose. I have seen and heard of people who have used Kratom for multiple ailments.  The science and pharmacology on Kratom has shown it to be safe, far more safe than most prescription pain medications. Taking away a safe, legal alternative will only lead more people to seek out dangerous and illegal drugs.
