For these records, could we propose that for any child that is currently enrolled in the Virginia public school system, a document signed by parents stating that the school has a copy of the updated immunization records on file rather than the sites keeping hard copies of them? How would the proposed changes impact those students in the summer programs? Would we continue requiring our students in summer care to present immunization records or would a document signed from parents stating that the school has them be sufficient for this as well?
