I have fished commercially for Menhaden since 1981. When the fish are pumped aboard the vessel they first go through a dewatering screen. The function of this screen is to separate the water from the fish so you don't sink the boat. What comes out of that process is salt water and fish juice..blood and slime from the fish. All natural, no additives. The birds and other fish feed on it.
