I do not support this petition that attempts to regulate purse seining gear. Stating that this fishery is "improperly" using purse seine nets and destroying sea grass is unfounded and simply false. In fact, there has been a noted increase of 12% in sea grass in the Chesapeake Bay, as stated in the most recent VIMS study linked below:
