Howdy Folks, 

Thanks for hearing public comment on this important "common sense" issue.  Our oceans face an immense amount of challenges and the least we can do is address gear and over harvesting issues since they are 100% in our control.  Let's give these vital stocks of fish the opportunity to survive and enjoy the economic & emotional impact on a much larger scale than allowing these impractical fishing methods continue to benefit a foreign company.  

1. These purse seine nets are not being used as they are intended.
2. Water depths less the 60’ do not allow for non-targeted marine life to escape.
3. The use of these nets in water depths less than 60’ can cause damage to essential fish habitat.
4. Depth restrictions will help avoid nets spills, net tears, and waste of the resource – which is beneficial for all stakeholders.
