Parents as caregivers without regulations

The ultimate purpose of these waivers are the keep the individual living and thriving to the best of their ability in the community, and out of the state’s care. The proposed changes are going to make it difficult for that to happen. My child has level 3 autism and has to be helped with everything. When he is not in school, I watch him all day long, but I have to pick and choose when to log in to the EVV app. His other parent, approves and signs. With the new changes you are suggesting we have to travel to someone else for them to agree that I did care for my child? How is this helpful? Also, we are going to be required to list all of the things we do with the person while they are in our care. This seems quite unnecessary as it will just end up being a copy and paste from day to day. Consider other options to eliminate fraud. Do not take the rights of parents and put in arbitrary stipulations to make it possible to care for our physically and/or mentally disabled loved one.
