No EVV for Parent Caregivers

For those who have neurotypical children, it would be impossible to remember to log in/out of a phone app while working with our kids as we are "on call" at all times while our kids are awake. Imagine having a disabled child(ren) who suddenly wakes up in the night or when you hear a "bang?" in the other room and have to quickly attend to them? What about the panicked time when we are trying to get out the door to get somewhere on time or when we are alone with our children with no EOR around to sign us out after a "shift?" The "shift" never ends for live-in parents. We parents are not simply arriving at our jobs and leaving them behind at the end of the day. It would be near impossible for me to remember to 1.) grab my phone when my child is awake and needs attention, and 2.) remember to log off when my child goes to bed (sometimes after a chaotic bedtime routine). Parents as caregivers are a very different situation than attendant care providers who have a moment of silence before and after the shift ends. Live-in caregivers should be allowed to continue to input their time in the web portal when we have two seconds to breathe. It would be a panicked situation to try to remember to login/logout of EVV as our shift never ends.
