The petition cites existing Virginia Code that supports and validates this rule change. So is there a persuasive argument against approving it? 

I trust that our State Board of Elections would embrace every opportunity to strengthen the procedures and soundness of its own list of registered voters. The current gap the petition addresses affects us all. And, in a way, no-action by the Board to close it would disenfranchise those who follow the rules to be properly registered.
