Concerns about Forced EORs and Privacy of Children's Information:

The decision to require EORs and restrict parents from being paid care attendants raises concerns about privacy and the security of children's information. Many military families, without local friends or relatives, rely on waivers for their children's care. The requirement for EORs to have access to private information jeopardizes the confidentiality of the children's sensitive data. Allowing one parent to be the EOR while the other serves as the paid care attendant ensures protection for the children, their information, and their privacy rights. Additionally, hiring EORs raises questions about who will bear the costs associated with background checks and the time required to input and approve information.
