Concerns about EOR and Hour Limits

The proposed EOR and hour limits for parent care attendants raise several concerns. One major issue is the requirement for the EOR to be outside of the home. This arrangement poses problems as the EOR would need to meet monthly with service facilitators, who ask questions about upcoming doctor's appointments and the patient's health status. However, these details may not be known to the EOR, making it difficult for them to fulfill their role effectively. Moreover, this requirement discriminates against military families or those without nearby relatives or close friends who can act as EORs. It is essential to consider the burden on families to provide sensitive data to strangers when no close relatives are available.
