Employer of Record (EOR) as the Parent - Strengthens the Parent-child Relationship

When the other parent continues to be the Employer of Record (EOR), it promotes a deeper understanding of the child's unique needs and talents. Having a close relationship with the child, the parent possesses valuable insights into their strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations. By assuming the EOR role, they can leverage this knowledge to ensure that the child's employment opportunities align with their interests and skills. This personalized approach enhances the child's overall career development and maximizes their potential for success. The other parent can advocate for the child's best interests, negotiate suitable employment terms, and facilitate access to resources and mentorship opportunities. This tailored approach not only cultivates the child's talents but also instills a sense of fulfillment and purpose as they embark on their professional journey.

Having the other parent as the Employer of Record (EOR) when they are also the Legally Responsible Individual (LRI) strengthens the parent-child relationship and promotes a cohesive family unit. The EOR role requires ongoing communication, collaboration, and decision-making regarding the child's employment matters. This regular engagement allows the parent and child to understand better each other's perspectives, priorities, and aspirations. It fosters open dialogue, mutual respect, and shared responsibility, nurturing a supportive family environment. The other parent can actively participate in the child's career choices, offering guidance, mentorship, and emotional support. This active involvement strengthens the bond between the parent and child and creates a sense of stability and unity within the family, which positively impacts the child's overall well-being and development.
