pg.9 states that members who do not meet the DMAS definition of TBI criteria.... shall be referred to their MCO to receive coordination of care. This indicates that person's currently served by Brain Injury services that do not fit this small category will lose their state funded case management services when this takes effect. DARS funded Case Management currently funds all types of Acquired Brain Injury. It is not in the best interest of these other individuals to discontinue their case management that they have received for years simply because they don't have the correct type of brain injury.
