24 hour emergency services are not part of the regular case management services in the state of virginia. These services are completed by the Emergency Services and REACH teams that receive specific funding to provide this level of support. The language used on Pg5 could be interpreted that Brain Injury providers must work out a contract with CSB Emergency Service Teams to address this need if we do not plan to absorb the costs ourselves. To my knowledge, funding for emergency teams has not been included in the case management rate discussions. This is an unreasonable expectation without proper funding to support.
