Consumer Directed Care

I believe that our individuals with special needs are better to be with family members. Strong family bond would be beneficial for them because they are very comfortable and familiar with the members of the family. Family members are strong advocates for individuals as well. With the increase of mental health issues across America, we place special needs individuals, especially those that cannot speak for themselves, at risk of abuse or assault (verbal, physical, and sexual) from those that cannot be entrusted. I strongly recommend that members of family must care for them.
