To Whom It May Concern:

I was in the armed forces for over ten years. When deployed, we had to use absentee ballots to vote. If this committee decides to restrict which votes are counted based upon how neat the signature is, many soldiers, who often fill these out in terrible conditions, may lose their vote as they are fighting and dying in Iraq, Afghanistan and all around the world.

Is this your intention? To strip away the voting rights of our armed forces members?

I have filled out absentee ballots in terrible conditions - trusting that they would be counted - and never worrying about the legibility of my signature.
