Flood Resiliency Plan/

The draft shows some interesting studies and comments for implementations.  Although many will not comment as they feel all the verbiage will just be another report or study.  The African American Communities are hit the hardest when the floods, the implementation of new studies and no action are involved.  The many suggested visits, calls, and emails to the departments of what is actually happening in the communities is overlooked by all.  The change of the climate and sea level rise is progressing and the studies continue.  The  hands on group has arrived and actions need to be taken to remedy the situation.  First, our communities cannot obtain flood insurance because the companies feel we are not in a flood zone.  The statics say no, the waters and floods from every rains say yes we are.  The paper work and reports are nowhere involved in the actual living space where the waters are.  The mention of no storm water drainage also plays an important part in the flood resiliency first hand.  If there is no proper drainage from the cities, where is the water going?  Its time to put boots to the ground and take care of first things first; storm water drainage for the African American Communities before its too late! Thank you.
