Current regulation is far from okay.

First, mandating the COVID vaccine on anyone at this point is ludicrous, especially mandating children have it in order to attend any type of school. It’s barely effective, children have minimal risk of any serious harm from getting COVID, and it should be up to their own parents whether they want to risk the numerous side effects of this poorly tested vaccine.

Next, reinstate the philosophical exemption and keep the religious and medical exemptions in place.  Please protect, at all costs, the medical exemption. Some individuals are inherently more at risk of having complications after receiving vaccines. This is something that should be discussed and considered with their trusted medical provider. Providers should also feel completely safe and willing when necessary to write out a medical exemption without retaliation from the government in any way.

Additionally, informed consent needs to be mandatory. Each vaccine comes with its share of risks including serious side effects and death. Make explaining the risks mandatory prior to injection. Each vaccine vial comes with an insert. These inserts have very detailed and useful information in them. Medical providers and those administering vaccines including school nurses should be well versed on these inserts and these inserts should be made available to those receiving vaccines prior to and at the time of each injection.

Finally, requiring immunizations for children taught at home is a complete infringement on parental rights.
