Use of proceeds & gaming funds:

We at the Wytheville Fraternal Order of Eagles 4554 have concerns about the UOP of 25% to 40% of the gross and how this can be used / disbursed of funds. Being a new locations with a smaller membership this is of great concerns in the day to day operations. With the high cost of insurance, power bills, internet bills and other normal operating expenses the extra percentage would make it unbearable to preform at a minimum. With the work force in American today and the lack of individuals willing to donate their time as volunteers we are having to shoulder more and more expenses. We have to have the higher speed internet, power, staff during operational hours, insurance for the property and buildings all in which are additional cost to the Fraternity / non profit centers. Some of these things are needed any way and we understand this, but there is an additional cost to the fraternity. Please keep in mind the local fraternal organizations help a tremendous number of individuals, organizations such as (Police, Fire, Rescue, child abuse shelters, battered women shelters and the list goes on) to operate to make human lives better and more desirable by lessening its ills and promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and HOPE with the funds they raise and share with our communities.
