Covid Therapeutics do NOT belong on the vaccine list

I am OPPOSED to adding the covid shot to the schedule of school required vaccinations.

  1. As a parent, it is my responsibility to determine the best medical decisions for my child, not the state.
  2. The Covid vaccine isn't a vaccine at all. The technology used to develop the shot is based on mRNA gene therapy and not traditional vaccine techniques that introduce a damaged sample of the virus. Therefore it is not scientifically prudent to evaluate the use of the covid therapeutic using the same criteria as other school vaccinations.
  3. The therapeutic shots have not been tested for long term affects.
  4. Children are at a near zero risk to Covid. Using the argument that they should be vaccinated to protect other populations like the elderly is irresponsible and unjustified. You vaccine the at-risk population. This is the same advice given every year for the flu shot. The science hasn't changed, so why has the recommendation?
  5. The therapeutic shots are ineffective at new strains of the virus. AND, requiring additional shots every few months when a new strain is found is unreasonable, unrealistic, and could have permanent health effects on children.
