No Dogs in Pet Stores

As long as shelters are even half full, people should be adopting rather than shopping for a dog. If someone insists on buying a dog, they need to go directly to the breeder to see the parents and the conditions in which they're being kept. All dog breeders need to be licensed and subject to unannounced inspections by Animal Control officers. They should also be required to chip all of their puppies. It should also be illegal to crop ears and tails of the puppies. Please initiate these changes immediately to ensure puppies and dogs in shelters find forever homes and people breeding dogs are regulated to the highest standards. Thank you for your anticipated support of my requests.
