Proposed Changes to Charitable Gaming Regulations

In order for our Lodge to continue to provide for our community through charitable donations and involvement in community programs we must have the ability to maintain our Lodge and our organization.  The Virginia Beach Elks supports our community through monetary donations, community involvement and partnership with other charitable organizations in the community.  The change to 40% use of proceeds will severely impact our ability to operate and maintain our facility in which the electronic gaming machines are housed.  We are a volunteer Lodge already running on a minimal budget but we still manage to make significant contributions to our community.  The proposed changes to the use of proceeds would make it significantly harder for us to maintain those contributions and our community involvement programs.
