Judging the Legibility of Signatures to Vote
Judging the Legibility of Signatures to Vote
Judging the legibility of signatures is a far, far too arbitrary way to decide whether a vote should be counted. It doesn't take very much imagination to predict the kind of abuse to which this can lead. There are other means by which voting irregularities can be prevented that involve identifying voters and determining their eligibility. One of the ways to prevent abuse is to definitely not pass this legislation. It is merely a way to prevent certain demographic groups from effective voting, and it is quite obvious.
