absentee ballots

In the 2012 election, I voted absentee in Loudoun county. The ballot was the correct absentee one. It was correctly witnessed- by a lawyer - and so forth. About two months AFTER  election day the Board of Elections said my ballot had not been accepted because it was not witnessed. By then I was back overseas so could not do anything about it. Of course Loudoun County was close in the 2008 elections. The margins for its Democrat victory were very slim.

I feel strongly that every qualified voter, whatever party, should have the right to vote, The fact that  I was illegally denied my vote and the fact that ballots may be thrown away due to penmanship is unconstitutional. This could particularly affect elderly people, sight impaired people as well as people with temporary injuries such as a broken arm. Let  all Virginians  vote!!!
