I am opposed to the changes in the draft regulations which transfers the selection process regarding hearing offices to the VDOE.  This needs to continue to be handled by the Supreme Court.  This change is basically "putting the fox in the hen house"  The VDOE has an obvious conflict of interest in the selection of hearing officers.  The current selection process is not broken and does need to be modified.  The Supreme Court is an unbiased third party to the matter and should continue to handle this role.
