I am opposed to the proposed changes in the VA Adoption Law that will require adoption agencies to place children for adoption without consideration of the sexual orientation of those trying to adopt a child. Sexual orientation is not a protected classification in federal law. The State of Virginia's Social Services should not try to impose this new regulation on adoption agencies.
