The proposed rules prohibit agencies from discriminating based on race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability and family status. As our family is Catholic this runs totally contrary to our beliefs regarding sexual orientation. We also believe that there are many faith based organizations, i.e. Catholic being one of them that this proposal would run against the beliefs of said religion. All people should be and are respected. Homosexuality, though, is something that is a sin and should not be condoned in any sense. Although this is not popular with mainstream society who believes everything is a free for all, we don't believe this. Nor does God believe this as well. Catholic organizations, in particular, should not be forced to participate in something that cannot be done according to our religion. If there is a seperation between Church and State how can the State enforce a law that prohibits the free speech and practice of that religion?
