I know a friend who struggles with same-sex attraction.

There is absolutely no doubt.  It is a fact of science and psychology, as well as natural law, as well as the law of God, that children need both a loving, masculine father and a caring, feminine mother in order to develop into mature, balanced, healthy members of society.  

Men and women are different.  and for a reason!  Each contributes something the other simply cannot.  It is idiotic to treat both sexes as equally capable of being a mother figure and a father figure to an adopted child.  Therefore, homosexual relationships, aside from being a perversion, contrary to human nature and the meaning of sexuality, aside from being something immoral, unfruitful, and simply unfulfilling, are simply an unhealthy environment in which to raise a child.

Please understand that the laws of God and of nature are beyond man's control.  He is free to be homosexual in the same sense in which he is free to walk into the wall, instead of through the door.   However well-intentioned or caring the person is, he is walking into a wall and telling the child the wall is as good as the door for getting from room to room.

Please don't let our children bang their heads on walls for the rest of their life, emotionally wounded for lack of one or another parent.  Protect the children of our commonwealth.  

Fight the sin of homosexuality.  Give homosexuals an opportunity for true healing by helping them recognize they have a problem.  They'll be much happier walking through doors, or at least telling others not to walk into walls, even if they find themselves unable to find the door.  

The homosexual adults AND the children both need you to prohibit adoption by homosexual partners or couples.
